There is something about homemade Christmas gifts that I just love. My Spiced Christmas Nuts blend is a savory, slightly sweet, and wonderfully spiced treat thatโs ideal for snacking, gifting, or adding to holiday spreads.
Why You’ll Love These Spiced Christmas Nuts
These nuts are not only packed with flavor but are also a fantastic source of healthy fats, protein, and fiber, making them a nourishing choice. The warming spices like cinnamon and ginger add a holiday twist, while the maple syrup provides a natural sweetness that caramelizes beautifully in the oven.
Ingredients Youโll Need
For this recipe, I use a blend of nuts and spices, making it easy to customize based on your taste preferences. Hereโs what youโll need:
- Nuts: Almonds, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, and walnuts. Feel free to swap out or add more of your favorites.
- Spices: Cinnamon and ginger add warmth and depth, creating that classic Christmas flavor.
- Other Ingredients: Olive oil, maple syrup, a hint of vanilla extract, and a touch of salt to balance the sweetness.
Tips for Perfect Spiced Nuts
- Stir while baking: This helps the nuts toast evenly and prevents them from sticking together.
- Keep an eye on them: Nuts can burn quickly, so watch them during the last few minutes of baking.
- Add extra spices: For an extra kick, add a pinch of nutmeg or a dash of cayenne pepper for a hint of heat.
Perfect for Gifting!
These spiced nuts make a beautiful, homemade gift. Package them in small jars or festive bags, add a holiday ribbon, and youโve got a thoughtful, delicious present.
