How to Make Super Crunch Chocy Bars
Step 1: Melt the Chocolate
Break the dark chocolate into pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl. Melt using a double boiler (placing the bowl over a saucepan with simmering water) or in the microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring between each burst until smooth.
Step 2: Mix Everything Together
Once the chocolate is fully melted, stir in the nuts and seeds, along with the puffed millet and chia seeds. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly coated in chocolate.
Step 3: Spread & Sprinkle
Pour the mixture into a Mould tray or line a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle Himalayan salt over the top while the chocolate is still melted.
Step 4: Let It Set & Cut into Bars
Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or place it in the fridge for 1–2 hours until firm. Once hardened, break or cut into bits.
Step 5: Store & Enjoy!
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for a softer texture or in the fridge for a firmer bite.
Ways to Customize Your Chocy Bars
- Add dried fruit – Mix in chopped dried cranberries, goji berries, or raisins for a natural sweetness.
- Boost the protein – Stir in a scoop of collagen powder or your favorite protein powder before setting.
- Make it extra indulgent – Drizzle with melted peanut butter or almond butter before setting.
- Use different seeds & nuts – Swap out the listed seeds and nuts for cashews, hemp seeds, or hazelnuts for variety.
